In this Article

Settings: Email

Go to Settings in the bottom bar.

You will land on the first tab, Email. This is where you edit Email name, Sender details, Subject line and Preheader.

Sender name

Appear as sender in the inbox, be clear on who the sender is.

Subject line and Preheader

This is the Profile's first impression in the inbox so give it some thoughts. The Preheader is the text following the Subject line in the inbox.
Recommended length subject line 40 characters, and preheader 85-100.

Get tips on how a good subject line and preheader in the Best practice article.

Data tags

The hashtags under the text lines implies that you can include Data tags in the text fields. Choose among the Data tags linked to Default Attributes (for example, ##firstname##, ##lastname##, ##email##) or your own Custom Attributes.

Do not track Email openings

We track Email openings by sending a small (1x11 pixel) image with every Email. When a recipient opens the Email, the image is downloaded which we then use to define the Email as opened.

Tick the Do not track email openings checkbox if you want to turn off this tracking.

In the Report of an Email with this tracking deactivated, will show 0 Open Events in the Report Overview.

The tracking can be deactivated on any Email sending, in any of our tools. You can tick this checkbox in a Template, and all Emails using that Template will have the tracking turned off (with option to turn it on).

Settings: Design

Go to Settings and the second tab, Design.

Email width

Adjust Email width by entering a measurement in pixels.

We suggest a width of 600px, optimal for most Email clients.

Top padding

The top padding creates space between the top of the box in the email client (where the Email is displayed) and the actual Email content. Enter a measurement in pixels.

Body colour picker

Use the colour picker to choose colour for the Email body (and for the background and border). If you have a standard colour, enter the colour code in the Hex box, or use the RGB or colour picker. The colour picker will save 16 of your recently used colours for each Email. A new Email will have no recently used colours.

Background image

Upload a background image if you prefer. The background image does not support transparency.

Tile - is the standard setting, it works everywhere where background images is supported. The image will be repeated both in x and y direction.

Fill* - fills up the background, rescales your image, keep its dimensions and crop the image.

Fit* - shows the whole background image 1 time, rescales it, but will not crop the image.

Stretch* - fills up the whole background, rescales and stretches it out instead of cropping.

*Fill, Fit and Stretch do not work in Outlook. The selected background colour will be shown instead.

Border width and radius

Set thickness of the Email border (pixels).

The radius of the Email border determines the roundness of the corners.
