Delete Profiles

Delete Profiles, Profile overview with segments

Updated this week

Delete Profiles

You can delete Profiles in two ways, either delete Profiles from a file or delete Profiles based on a Segment.

Deleting Profile will delete all data associated with the Profile (Attributes and Events), in all Sections across the account. Naturally, those Profiles will not receive any more communication from the Apsis account.

Note: It will take up to 20 minutes for deleted Profiles to be removed from Audience.

Delete Profiles from File

Prepare a file with the Profiles you want to delete from your account

(CSV and XLSX files up to 50MB).

The file must contain the a Unique Identifier that can recognize the Profile. A unique identifier can be email, phone, or CRM id.

1. Go to Audience and click Add a New Profile to find all import options.

2. Select From File.

3. Choose Delete.

4. Click Insert File and select the file from your computer. We support CSV and XLSX files up to 50MB.

Unique ID

5. Unique Identifier is what recognizes the Profile (Email, phone number or CRM ID).
Select the Unique Identifier from the dropdown and click Next.

Note: When deleting Profiles with a file import, pay attention to the Unique Identifier. Be aware of that several Profiles could have the same email address, but different Unique Identifier.

If you for example have two Profiles with the same email address but different Unique Identifiers, only one of the Profiles will be deleted (depending on which Unique Identifier you chose for the file import).

Example:

  • Profile 1 using Unique Identifier: Email Keyspace

  • Profile 2 using Unique Identifier: CRM Keyspace (Profile imported from CRM)

->Deleting Profiles with Import File Wizard, with Email Keyspace as Unique Identifier.

In this scenario only Profile 1 would be deleted.

Profile 2, with the same email address, but CRM Keyspace, is not identified and deleted in this file import using Email Keyspace to identify Profiles.

Mapping

5. Map the Unique Identifier from the file.

Overview

Review your file import selection. If you need to modify anything, track back to any step on the left side navigation.
